God is very powerful, and we should talk to Him with reverence and respect. Christians believe that God enjoys it when we talk with Him… God even asks us to do it! In Hebrews 4:16, it says we should draw near to the throne of grace with confidence. Here are some ideas for how to do that:
- Read something from the Bible.
- Then, ask God to help you understand what He said in that part of the Bible. You can also ask Him what He would like you to do.
- Tell Him what is going on in your life. He already knows everything, but He likes us to talk with Him about it. This is because He made us, and He knows the longings of our heart, and He longs for us to want to know Him.
- It is good to read the Bible and talk with God every day. Life is much easier when we have a good friendship with God, instead of His being mad at us, or uninvolved in our lives.
